EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Let go of pain easily and quickly
EFT — Emotional Freedom Technique
Powerful healing to release past hurts
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) combines the ancient wisdom of meridian energy—as used in acupuncture—with the latest understandings of modern psychology. EFT involves tapping with your fingers on the points shown in the diagram while saying specific words. In essence, these words admit, acknowledge and accept all that you wish had not happened—yet you still feel the pain. This is not to wallow in the past—rather it’s to release it.
How does EFT work?
Even if your rational side says you should not feel like this—you do. And you can’t just wish these feelings away. So, in part, EFT helps you to acknowledge what you feel without judgement. EFT doesn’t retraumatise you, nor do you have to endlessly go round-and-round the topic. Once an emotion has been fully released, then it’s gone for good.
EFT uses a formula which creates a basic structure of the sentences to say while tapping. Then it is personalised to whatever it is you are dealing with.
What can EFT be used for?
EFT can be used for just about anything where there is an old trapped emotion. This sounds like a big claim for something that sounds a little weird, yet there is good scientific proof that it works, and hundreds of thousands of people across the world use this easy-to-learn technique to feel better again.
Weaving EFT with other therapies
I tend to weave together EFT and Life Coaching. This powerful combination of therapies helps to release what is trapped within, reveals a new perspective, and different choices for moving forward. Occasionally, I weave together EFT and Movie Therapy. This is an excellent way to reframe childhood trauma. I also work with subconscious messages that come up after the EFT tapping process.
Over the last 15 years, I have trained and become qualified in many different therapies. All are useful—sometimes vital—in helping someone heal, yet EFT is the most powerful of all of them.
EFT via Zoom
Before Coronavirus, I exclusively offered EFT as part of personal retreats at The Jasmine House. Now I can work with you no matter where in the world you are, using Zoom. For these sessions, they are taken as doubles (1 hour 50 minute sessions with a 5 minute break after 1 hour)to allow plenty of time for the tapping to take place.
What if I don’t want to do it, or it doesn’t work?
It’s extremely rare that EFT doesn’t work. If you are hesitant – that’s understandable – then what I would ask simply for you to try just one session with me. Then you can decide. I am qualified in many different therapies and I never have just one way of working with clients, so I can find a way that works best for you if you feel strongly against doing EFT.
