400 miles in 34 days

Jennie’s charity walk and a huge personal challenge

  • 400 miles in 34 days
  • I walked 400 miles from Port Isaac to Portland In just 34 days

To celebrate becoming 60, I set myself a huge challenge – to walk 400 miles in 34 days. My adventure was everything I hoped for and more. And I raised just over £4000 for 5 charities that mean a lot to me. I spent many days walking alone in remote areas—which I loved. There were also specials days when I was joined by my family, friends, clients and people working for the charities.

I began my walk on 3rd July in the quaint Cornish village of Port Isaac (or Port Wenn as Doc Martin fans know it) and arrived back on Portland on 5th August. I feel differnt after my walk—in ways it’s hard to describe. It feels like life is simpler and not quite as stressful as it once was—and that’s a good feeling.

I made a short video each day—and I’m leaving them here for you to enjoy.
